WHAT A NIGHT!

Last night I had the pleasure of tending bar to help raise money and awareness for Second Chance Scholarship foundation.

I have been working with this organization since the beginning of the year and am amazed by all that they do.

As it says on their website

“SECOND CHANCE SCHOLARSHIP

All too often children who end up in the criminal justice system come from homes or

environments where poverty and/or negative influences are their biggest hurdles to realizing and achieving a further education.

The founders and supporters of the Foundation recognize and believe that all youth have potential and if given an opportunity to succeed academically, these youth can become educated, responsible and contributing members of society. All they need is a Second Chance!”

 

Last night we raised money to go towards the work that this amazing organization does. I can tell you that every person that works for or sits on the board for Second Chance volunteers their time and resources to Second Chance. Making every dollar raised go to where it should go, the programs for these young men and women who need it most.

I want to thank obviously first and foremost everyone that came out and supported Second Chance last night. It was a great turn out and we raised just over a $1000 dollars.

Secondly I want to thank The Gull and Firkin for hosting this great event. The Gull and Firkin do so much good for the community and are always wiling to entertain events like this to raise money for worthy causes. Next time you are in the beaches go see them and have a pint or a bite to eat. They are amazing!

Lastly thank you to Second Chance Scholarship Foundation in trusting me to work alongside them in bringing awareness to their organization. I am a firm believer that it takes a village and we are that village. Everyone deserves a chance to succeed, and Second Chance helps to make that possible.
